CSinc has announced a new series of Computer Science Webinars for for LCCS students.
These events are open to all students, and a teacher just has to register once and will be sent a link to the webinars which can then be shared with students. All webinars and completely free and open to any teacher/school or student who wants to take part (5th years and even TY if you think they will be of value to them).
Computer Science Webinars For Students
The three upcoming webinars are:
· LCCS School Webinar – Analytics (Tue, 22 November 2022, 11:00 – 13:00 GMT)
· LCCS School Webinar – Modelling (Mon, 12 December 2022, 11:00 – 13:00 GMT)
· LCCS School Webinar – Functions in Python (Tue, 17 January 2023, 11:00 – 13:00 GMT)
CSinc (Computer Science Inclusive) activities are focused on improving the teaching and learning of Computer Science through student camps and workshops, research as well as Teacher CPD sessions on Content Knowledge and Pedagogical Content Knowledge.
CSinc is based out of TU Dublin, Tallaght Campus, where the camp team are faculty of the School of Science , Department of Computing.
Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems. Computer scientists deal mostly with software and software systems; this includes their theory, design, development, and application.
Principal areas of study within Computer Science include artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, security, database systems, human computer interaction, vision and graphics, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, bioinformatics and theory of computing.
Computer scientists design and analyze algorithms to solve programs and study the performance of computer hardware and software.
