The Global Hack is an online global hackathon designed to share and rapidly develop ideas for urgently needed solutions in the face of the current crisis, as well as to build resilience post-pandemic. The prize pool for the best ideas is 120k euros.
About this Global Hackathon
The Global Hack has already drawn attention across the globe – covered by Forbes, Silicon Republic, CNN among others – and brought on board a fleet of world-class mentors, such as Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, former President of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Khaliya – public health specialist and a neuro-technologist.
How to Apply
You can take part in the Hackathon with an idea developed from scratch or you can come with an existing product, but you need to develop it further (such as develop a new feature) during this event.
When submitting your project (in the description field) you must:
- – Describe the problem & target, who has this problem? Try to be as precise as possible.
- – What’s your solution? What do you want to build during the hackathon? It doesn’t need to be perfect, but it must be realistic. Describe the technical and non-technical elements as best as you can.
By the end of the Hackathon Teams need to provide:
- – working prototype (will not accept any PowerPoint slides or any similar presentations)
- – a 2-minute demo video of the project and the prototype
